Courses
Soroban Course
After learning the four arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using the abacus, students will progress to mental arithmetic and flash mental arithmetic. Doing calculations by using the fingertips will balance the brain because using the fingertips develops the right side of the brain and doing calculations stimulates the left side of the brain.
Soro Touch Course
This is a new way to learn abacus-style mental arithmetic in a well-balanced way using a tablet as if it were a game. This course is specialized in mental arithmetic. In a short period of time, we aim to help students acquire calculation skills that can be used in arithmetic, mathematics, and daily life.
Voice

It helped him develop persistence.
My 4-year-old son loves numbers. Then, when I was looking for a class where I could help him develop his strengths, I was attracted to
SoroTouch because of its solid curriculum. It was a good opportunity for him to develop his tenacity through the valuable experience of falling behind in math, which is his strong point, when he reached a difficult level.
From the mother of Max (age 5)

I felt my heart grow.
The most surprising thing since we started the lesson was that the children started doing their assignments by themselves as soon as they woke up in the morning. This is not only for the sake of practicing mental arithmetic, but it may also be related to the children's emotional growth. I look forward to seeing the children's growth as they become more independent and self-reliant in the future!
From the mother of Ameri (age 9)

It has given me the ability to do more mental arithmetic than I ever imagined!
In just one year, he can now do three digit mental calculations, and it helped him in his daily life as well, such as he is enjoying calculating numbers on license plates on his own and helping me totaling up the items at the supermarket. I have also experienced soroban in a past, his mental calculation skill is now beyond mine.

Instructor Introduction
Aiming to "Bring smiles to children's faces in the classroom”
Since the opening of the school in 2018, we have had the pleasure of working with more than 100 students through abacus, SoroTouch, and Japanese language education, with the aim of "bringing smiles to children's faces".
Although children sometimes cry in frustration, the smiles on their faces after overcoming their frustrations are special. I try to talk to my students not only about calculation skills, but also about the power of perseverance and the importance of having the confidence to say, "I can do it!" I try to provide guidance that supports both intellectual and emotional growth.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
At what age can I start?

-
What is the difference between abacus and SoroTouch course?
-
The goal of both courses is to acquire "the ability to calculate by heart". In the Soroban Course, students learn calculation by using the soroban. As they progress, they begin to practice mental calculation; then, they practice both soroban and mental calculation in parallel. The SoroTouch Course specializes in the mastery of mental arithmetic as students learn mental arithmetic from the beginning using a tablet. In the SoroTouch course, the abacus itself is not used, but an application that displays the image of abacus beads is used instead. Please see below for more detailed course information.
-
What is your lesson schedule?
